On 24th September we hosted a very interesting talk entitled ‘Digging for Gold’ with Martin Cook, a three times Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medallist. We held the ‘Combined Harvest’ Flower Festival in the Church for the following two days. The Church was beautifully decorated and we welcomed many visitors.
We raised a wonderful £1600 through both events.
In November, Nigel Rees, the Radio 4 broadcaster, gave an entertaining talk ‘From Gravestones to Graffiti’ in a packed Village Hall. This raised an excellent £1000.
